Smiths Tennis club is open to all players, whether interested in social or league tennis, the club currently has 2 teams in the Wilson Gloucestershire Tennis League (for more info see the relevant page).
Facilities wise the Club has 3 tarmacadam tennis courts, full disabled access and a club house with changing facilities and offering a selection of food and drinks
The Club has two nights social play per week, on Mondays and Fridays, both from 5.30pm onwards, with league matches played on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Club nights are organised by Club Secretary Paul Lannin and the League teams are run by Ash Smith (A Team) and Maurycy Lange (B Team), there are also inter club singles tournaments and a Ladder run throughout the year.
Coach Ash Smith is nearly always on hand to offer advice and tips on all aspects of tennis as well as to offer a wide range of tennis rackets and equipment from Wilson, Fischer, Dunlop, Slazenger and Head (see Racket Sales for more details).
Subs are extremely reasonable at £24 per year seniors and £12 per year juniors, for which all balls for club nights are provided. Members must also pay £15 to join Smiths Industries Sports and Social Club in order to use the facilities available. I'm sure you'll agree this is excellent value.
The club nights operate on a turn up and play basis, doubles being the order of the day, you'll always be able to find someone to have a game with, no matter what your standard.
